The Account Executive Position

This position will be accountable for driving engagement with and generating Novi Data subscription revenue from oil & gas operators and energy-focused financial services customers. The position will also be responsible for data subscription renewals for existing Novi Data customers. The position reports to the Head of Sales.

A successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a track record of successful quota achievement.  A self-starter with the skills to prospect, manage sales cycles, close opportunities, and manage renew opportunities.   This role requires a highly motivated, very organized individual with strong attention to detail, great communication skills, and the ability to meet objectives. Understanding what drives energy investment decisions will be a key driver of success.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Attain assigned quota targets set by the Company.
  • Manage the sales process from lead to close with prospective customers.
  • Prospect new accounts through email, cold calls, and warm lead conversion in a wide range of organization sizes and vertical markets, including – operators, mineral owners, investment banks, hedge funds, and oilfield services.
  • Renew and expand revenue within the Novi Data customer base.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline, contacts, leads, etc., utilizing salesforce.com.
  • Work with Novi marketing to build and execute targeted marketing programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the oil and gas industry. 
  • Proven track record of quota achievement in selling data, analytics, and/or software offerings to the energy industry. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and driven to succeed.
  • Ability to understand Novi’s data solutions and align the product to customer goals/problems.
  • Understanding of unconventional fundamentals, including drilling, completions, production, and geology.
  • Remote work position.
